PrintBoss support claims it really is a Crystal issue. Has anyone been able to get Crystal Reports Viewer to work with Window 7 Pro? We use an ERP/CRM system called Vantage (by Epicor) and this uses Crystal Reports for all kinds of things. When users with Windows 7 Professional tried to view a report generated using Crystal, the report would display inside a Vantage window for less than a second, then crash. This behaviour didn't happen on Windows Vista, it only started on Windows 7.

The solution to this for us was to install and run 'Crystal Reports XI R2.net 1.1 runtime' which we got from the Epicor website. PM me if you'd like a link to this to try. Any success/fail correlation with PCL vs PS drivers? And, what is the name of the viewer dll(s) in use and their revision date? Since we are about to begin deployments of new Win7 machines for ERP users, the hope is that won't translate into 'more difficult'. Let me know on the questions above and I will report back on what I can find out. I just spent two days solving running CR XI R2 from.Net 1.1 on Windows 7. What I did was to find the CR XI R2 Service Pack 6 Fix Pack 4 merge modules and used those in my msi.

The only place I found where you can download Service Pack 6 and its merge modules is: You have to log in first to do this. Log in here: To obtain a login ID, I believe you have to be a registered owner of Crystal Reports (I am). The hard part is that the area with the merge modules, etc, is apparently not available in Google search results so I had to find someone who alluded to it to know it was there. I promised to report back.
