The key element is gameplay in which it's very good, that's all that matters that and patches for online play which the game also supports; ) Midway/DC got away with a lot with the 'T' rating there's still blood, fatalities that kill people.this isn't exactly a kiddy game. Some people need to wake up seriously. I've been an MK fan since i was a kid and have every MK game from 2- DC ( yes that does include the awefull but funny MK advance lol).
Anyway, i cant get over how some people are not even going to buy the game because it got an M rating. Thats ridiculous. Seriously who gives a shit. There is still blood, and fatalities, even though they might not be as gory as they previously were, but there still there.
Who gives a F&@* if a head doesnt get chopped off or soemthing like that. Play it for the actuall game itself and not what rating it gets. Btw its an excellent game and a must for any fighting fan. Also i wouldnt mind seeing them bring back a revamped 2d fighter that includes all the original characters- MK1-3, and not any of those shit ones from later on. Im looking at you cobra!!! I can understand and respect the disagreement on the “T” rating. I thought Midway was getting ridiculous with fatalities as far back as MK2 and was looking forward to some “tuning down”.
This is a bit too much tuning down some fatalities are less deadly then regular moves. But, there is some good MK style gameplay on this first ever PS3 game. And there is NOTHING wrong with Scorpion, Raiden, or Sub-Zero’s gameplay or fatalities If you cannot stand the DC thing, know you can play strictly MK vs MK in arcade mode.
This basically makes it a short MK only game. This is still an MK game, and who cares about less gore? Lol.trivial stuff some people worry about over solid gameplay *shakes head*. MVC is overrated, the second game was alright but broken with infinites just like MKA. Any fighter with tons of characters will be broken to hell. But anywho, the T rating isn't a big deal.
Considering the rating, compare it with other T rated games MK vs. DC got away with a lot.believe it or not. Jokers fatality, Scorpion burning you to death.Raiden electrocuting you til you're a skeleton.still pretty dark and brutal if you ask me. DC is awesome. This review has no relevance to anyone who buys a fighting game for the purpose of 2-player fun.
MKvsDCU is a game that is for the people who used to enjoy waiting in line at the arcade for their chance to stomp someone when games this cool weren't possible on home consoles. Who CARES if the single player 10-part kombo challenge is too hard, or if the individual single player story endings aren't terriby exciting?

Let's just FIGHT. I finally got to play for the first time last night, skeptical after seeing this score, and couldn't believe how good it was. I proceeded to play ALL night. This is a SOLID kickass fighter. It plays great and the graphics are sick and there are tons of moves and combos. Lame fatalities are disappointing but really don't take away from the fight itself. I am getting it for sure and will kick the crap out of anyone i meet online.
